lyrics
Bend for the fastest thing, the one
And, join in these playful things done
Oh my god, I’m beginning to think we’re gone
I’m three planes down and the bright lights are getting long
The milk of strife, the tears that flood the counter flee
I’m sorry I said you’d died so that they’d let me fly for free
I’m alone again, the nightmare too high for true care, it’s my last big pump for the feels
the overzealous internet throbathon magic appeal.
That finding your friends in the dark zeal
Deaths in demand, face down in the sand
No ones holding your hand, come on
The cities burning down and I can’t make it end
My baby she don’t want anything
we’re all in pain
we’re all in pain
you got it
Oh no I can’t feel anything
We’re all in pain
we’re all in pain
we’re all in pain
we’re all in pain
We’re all in Spain
We’re all in Spain
We’re all in Spain
We’re all in Spain
La Di da…
Kitchen knife
Early night
God give me a little life
These hot streets, I’m cold
Four star halloumi, you’re serving it raw
There is no forever
There is no forever
No there’s no forever
Please, bendy beats me better
Yeah yeah
yeah yeah

Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
