lyrics
No sex
No mess
No second chance
The ceremonial setting fire to my underpants
If every lust is just a devils dance
The floor is mine in religious trance
Five things unlearnt the stomach burns her home in no sense of the word
I never want to have this lesson learned
In abandon all witches yearn
Because Adam is evil
I’m coming round, again
Doesn’t the centre just kill your friends
It’s like so medieval, I’m powdered again
Promise me baby you just won’t bend
What do they know about luck or air
I fell from my broom, came up the stairs
Hands up if you can tell me there’s an angel there
Bugger my balloon in sweet despair
Five things unlearnt my stomach fiend
Her things or my sense of the world
God knows I never want to have this lesson learned
In abandon all witches burn
It’s like so medieval, I’m coming round
Promise me baby I’ll hit the ground
You’re not going to heaven, I am
I’m not going to heaven please sit down
And it all goes faster
No sex
No mess
No second chance
The ceremonial setting to my underpants
If every love is just a little dance
The floor alights give peace a chance

Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
