lyrics
Let me kill this time.
If we’re falling off the face of the earth it’ll all be fine, again.
Didn’t have you down as the meme lord type.
It’s these things we parody that sustain our lives you said.
You said.
You said.
It’s the car, it's the planet, it’s everything.
Come along if you’re sad to be seen.
In ferryhill there’s nothing I can believe
Don’t make me beg.
In the car it’s perfect apathy
You tell me am I missing something
When I wake up I know this isn’t the place
Don’t make me beg.
It’s the car, it's the planet, it’s everything.
Come along if you’re sad to be seen.
In ferryhill there’s nothing I can believe
Don’t make me beg.
It’s the car, it's the planet, it’s everything.
Come along if you’re sad to be seen.
In ferryhill there’s nothing I can believe
Don’t make me beg.
In the car it’s perfect apathy
You tell me am I missing something
When I wake up I know this isn’t the place
Don’t make me beg.
I can’t believe socks house meeting spat in your face
You say I’m a distance from grace
In the car it’s the planet it’s everything
It’s the dream it’s the dream it’s the dream

Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
